親愛的弟兄姊妹
逾越節是猶太人中最重要的宗教節期，目的是紀念神拯救在埃及為奴的以色列百姓。
逾越節從尼散月14日（通常在3月或4月）日落開始，標誌著為期7天的慶祝活動的開始，其中包括無酵餅節日。逾越節的重點是一頓叫做塞德（Seder「順序」）， 意思是用餐的固定順序，這是一個歡慶神拯救以色列民的日子。
第一次逾越節發生在以色列人在埃及被奴役期間，神降十災之後，曉喻摩西要以色列人獻上羔羊，並用羔羊的血涂抺在他們房屋的門楣上。神差天使到埃及，並「越過」門楣有標記的家庭。 https://www.umass.edu/orsl/about-jewish-holidays]。
為甚麼我們也應該這樣做? 對我們而言， 這意義重大， 因為當我們藉著耶穌基督而相信亞伯拉罕、以撒及雅各的神時，聖經說我們成為神的兒女 (約翰福音1:12)。 「既是兒女，便是後嗣，就是神的後嗣，和基督同作後嗣。如果我們和他一同受苦，也必和他一同得榮耀。」 (羅馬書8:17)。從這個意義上說，我們就是與以色列一樣成為神的選民和屬靈的人。
神命令以色列民每年記念逾越節 (民數記9:1-5)。對我們來說，基督徒也應該記念，因為基督藉在十字架上的犧牲為我們贖罪，祂是我們逾越節的羔羊，在十字架上流血，除去我們的罪孽，「神愛世人，甚至將他的獨生子賜給他們， 叫一切信他的，不致滅亡，反得永生。」(約翰福音3:16)
因此，就像猶太人慶祝逾越節一樣，要記住這份來自神奇妙的救贖。我們也應該這樣做，並慶祝我們的主耶穌基督從死亡到生命的拯救- 祝每位逾越節快樂！
讓我們保持禱告，保持信任，保持愛心，讓我們為我們的上帝和主耶穌基督保持忙碌於建立主的門徒。

Passover is the oldest and most important religious festival in Judaism, commemorating God's deliverance of the Hebrews from slavery in Egypt and His creation of the Israelite people.
The festival of Passover begins at sunset on the 14th of Nisan (usually in March or April) and marks the beginning of a seven-day celebration which includes the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The highlight of Passover is a communal meal, called the Seder (which means "order," because of the fixed order of service), which is a time to rejoice and celebrate the deliverance for the Hebrews that God accomplished through the exodus. The first Passover occurred after the plagues were brought upon Egypt during the enslaved of the Israelites. God told Moses to have the Israelites sacrifice a lamb and mark the doorframes of their homes with the lamb's blood. God would send the angel of death to Egypt and it would "pass over" the households that were marked by the blood of the lamb. [https://www.umass.edu/orsl/about-jewish-holidays].
Why we should do it too, though some may argue about it. For us this is significant because when we believe the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob- through Jesus Christ, the Bible says that we become the children of God, John 1:12. “Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:17. In this since we say we become spiritual one with Israel the chosen people of God and so we are. God commanded Israel to remember the Passover every year Numbers 9:1-5. To us Christian believers we should remember it too, in the light of Christ atoning sacrifices on the cross for us. He is our Passover lamb who shed His blood on the cross and took away our sins, and His promise whoever believes on him will not perish but will have an everlasting life. [John 3:16].
So just like the Jewish people celebrate their Passover to remember those amazing deliverance from Egypt. We should do it too and celebrate our deliverance from death to life by our Lord Jesus Christ – HAPPY PASSOVER everyone! Let us keep praying, keep trusting, Keep loving people and let us keep ourselves busy making disciples for our Lord and God Jesus Christ.
