Let me begin from these beautiful scriptures from Psalms 46.The title of this psalm is To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. A Song for Alamoth. These sons of Korah were Levites, from the family of Kohath. By David’s time it seems they served in the musical aspect of the temple worship (2 Chronicles 20:19). They pinned this amazing song of confidence in God’s protection and power.Which will be a very good reminder to all of us today.
“1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. The situation the world facing today is indeed not easy. We are facing a pandemic that until now has no assurance when it will end.But the real dangers that we need to overcome is not money, not job, not health, but our faith in God.The moment you lose your faith in God everything in your life is affected its does not matter how rich, how healthy you are. Things on this earth will not save you (Matt 16:26). Make the matter worst those weak in faith, can clog your mind with all those negatives, worries, fear, anxiety, and many things that does not glorify God. Trust me you will even become weaker if you focus on the things happening right now. Not only that,It will drain your spirits eventually lose hope to live. But thanks be to God!“God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble. The psalmist has experienced the awesome power and protection the Lord has for to them. The Psalmist was testifying to us the real experience they have with the Lord. If you read your bible you will know exactly how the Lord, did amazing things to the people of Israel who trusted him.
God being your refuge means you have the best protection, the best comfort you can experienced in your life. Not only that, He also supply you the strength you need to go on living every day. Is that wonderful?
Let us do reality check.Okay you clog your mind with, worries, fear, and all the negatives… Can that help you change your situation? No way! Many believers out there including myself can testify, those, who has faith and trusted Jesus specially during times of trials, overcame more faster, than those who has not. Believer should welcome challenges in their life. Challenges help you grow and exercise your faith. The Psalmist concluded that even the mountains be removed, and quakes. Or even be thrown out to the sea, He said“I will not fear”! How can you grow this kind of faith and confidence? The psalmist answer in plain truth.
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Ps 46:10
