Thank you God! The 7th 1st October Prayer Day was held successfully. Brothers and sisters presented fragrant sacrifice for the filling of God in Hong Kong.
It began as a small touch of God but it had to stop after a few years. At that point, our pastoral team was at a loss. How great would it be if Christians could gather in one to pray every year. So this is how we have kept it up for 7 years. During these years, various teams have arisen: choirs, horns, flag-waving, flag-dancing, dancing, painting, bible-reading and art. Regardless of age and denomination, it has been beautiful that we present our sacrifice to God together. More than 20 odd pastoral leaders from across the world have offered their blessings. Arise and shine!
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.” (Isaiah 60:1-2)
I am deeply convicted that God is using Hong Kong mightily to link nations together to bless China! I pray that God will call upon churches or organisations to continue the legacy of Prayer Day; same as how God first called us.
Prayer Day started with the entertainment industry presenting Isaiah 60 in movement and continued on with 40 odd kindergarteners dancing to the song “Here is the Glory”. Throughout the day, 90 odd horn-blowers and more than 170 dancers participated. On stage, 25 worship and prayer teams participated and multiple secondary school students took part in the bible-reading marathon. At dusk, Song of Songs 7 was presented both in voice by the physically-disabled and sign language by the hearing and speech impaired. At night, multinational representatives prayed for “bride warriors” to arise in Hong Kong, which was responded in the form of dance by the dancing teams. The purpose was to present bright, shiny pearls wholeheartedly and in unity to God, which represented God’s heart for Hong Kong. Hong Kong is to become the blessing for nations and God is demonstrating his glory here. God is showing how pleased he is with our sacrifice.
“For he says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2. Look! This is the time of favor. This is the time of salvation!
Brothers and sisters, have you seen the glory of God mightily manifested? I encourage you to share your testimonies and act upon the touch of God for the Glory of God! Amen!
