“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.“ (Isaiah 60 1-3)
Due to the severe epidemic situation in Hong Kong, I prayed in dialects for the epidemic in Hong Kong with my prayer team.In prayer, I saw a vision given by God. Covered by dark grey clouds over Hong Kong, I thought God would pray through us to send light from the sky and drive away all darkness; Let the plague leave our city quickly. In addition to seeing visions for me, God also gave me the above verses in my mind.
When we prayed together, I didn't see God sending light from heaven to drive away the darkness as I thought. Conversely, the prayer that we utter becomes the light, driving the darkness away. The originally dark gray sky gradually turned light gray because of our prayers together.
I am reminded of the words of the bible, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be
hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew5:14-16 )
Arise, shine! God commands us to rise up and shine. Have we allowed others to see the light of the Lord manifested in us? Or maybe we've forgotten that it's a Christian's duty to shine!
