Building the Altar

Peace be unto you, our brothers and sisters in Christ! First of all, May the Lord give you joy during

Feast of Tabernacles, which will last until October 6. I pray that we would be skilled to understand the significance of the Feast of Tabernacles: The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Tabernacle of God dwells among us.

Revelation 21:3-5

And I heard a great voice coming out of the throne, saying, "Behold! The tabernacle of God is among men. He will dwell with men, and they shall be his people; and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. There shall be no more death, neither shall there be any more mourning, nor crying, nor pain; for the former things are passed away." He who sits on the throne says, "Behold! I have renewed all things. And he said, "Write, for these words are trustworthy and true."

God show forth His work among us. We can enjoy protection in the presence of God, meditating our sweet intimate relationship with Him. We pray that this is all of our ardent desire.

We never stop give thanks to God, that we are commemorating our Eighth Hong Kong Day of Prayer, to be held on October 1st. May our Lord enlighten our eyes of understanding of His presence and His work at the event, according to His merciful kindness. This year, in addition to the 10 hours of worship at the main venue, there will also be worship and intercession in different places. At 6:00pm, the city-wide simultaneous recitation of Psalm 19 will be held by the grace of God.

In fact, our annual Hong Kong Day of Prayer on October 1st is a mega-scale altar unto the Lord.

We believe that by the mercy of the Lord, the Holy Spirit would help us bring forth fruit, renewal and transformation of life, that is meet for repentance.

1 King 3:4

And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that [was] the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

At that time, King Solomon offered sacrifices at a huge altar, and then he had an encounter with God and received wisdom from the Lord to rule his country. God gave him the capabilities, wisdom and resources to build His temple. King Solomon was highly honored by nations.

Solomon was willing to offer 1,000 sacrifices for the glory of God! Today we don't have to sacrifice oxen or sheep, we can make sacrifices through worship, prayer and devotion to give glory to God instead.

Join the Day of Prayer, making time for Him. As we partake in the setting up of this huge altar, God will be gracious to those who love Him. We trust that He will transform us and turn things around for our own good.

We hope you can join us! Join the October 1 Hong Kong Day of Prayer and build the great altar unto the Lord together, amen!
