“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” (2 Tim 1:6)
How is your fire for God burning? Is that fire smoldering or burning fervently? Ask the Holy Spirit to keep the flames burning within us, so that our heart will not grow cold or be lukewarm. Ask the Spirit to help us not only go after God’s blessings or lead a peaceful life, but also live out our missions as God’s disciples, and turn other people into disciples too.
Don’t assume you have got everything!
You say, “ I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.” But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.” (Rev3:17)
The church of Laodicea fell into the danger of self-sufficiency. They only saw the rich resources but didn’t see their lack. Blessed are those who are poor in spirit, for those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be filled. Paul also reminded us to forget what is behind and pressing on forward towards our goal. Whether it is our past failures or successes, we should not dwell on the past. If we don’t have the mission or goal to push ourselves forward, our lives will be lost without directions.
Buy gold refined in fire and white clothes
“If a man cleanses himself from the latter, he will be an instrument for noble purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work.” (2 Tim 2:21)
Let us yearn for the glory of holiness, and let our bonda

ges and past sins be refined by the Holy Spirit, so that we can be God’s holy and pleasing instruments. If we really want to serve Him and used by Him mightily, then we need to let ourselves be disciplined and strive for God’s perfection.
Spur one another on towards love
No man is an island, we all need friends. But not all our friends are beneficial to us, it is only those who are pure in prayers, and passionate for God and life. Whenever we are downhearted or weak, we hope other people can walk with us. The key is to connect with friends who are pure and passionate for God, and friends who use God’s truth and love to lead us out of our difficult situations.
Dear Brothers and Sisters, let’s pray that God helps us to be his flawless children in this ever-changing world. We pray that we will always rely on Him, live each day in the “first love” for God, and be close to Him like branches to the true vine. Be delighted when we are pruned so that we can bear more fruit. Amen!
