The Greatest Guarantee

Let read 2 Corinthians chapter 13 and share two verses. 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test?”

Paul advises Christians to always check their own spiritual condition and because they have discovered their sins in life, they can sincerely repent and their behavior can be corrected. They should admit and ask God for forgiveness and seek correctness from God. Keeps being close to God and avoiding alienation. Let work of Holy Spirit be more manifest in us, and be healed, released and free. God absolutely doesn't want us in a not rightful way and become self-deception. God wants us to be truly free. Paul reminds us to examine whether we have faith. When the Holy Spirit grants us revelation, can it be declared by faith? Or still ignore it? The Holy Spirit has to deal with our attitude, whether we care about the instruction given by God.

Finally, in concluding verse 12, Paul urged brothers and sisters to pay more attention to the spiritual affairs of the church, especially, the unity and harmony. Harmony is the fastest solution to problems, so brothers and sisters must be happy, be perfect, be comforted, be of one accord, and be at peace with each other. In this way, the God of love and peace will always be with you.

David wrote in Psalm 17:3, “Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin.” David knew God, and has intimate fellowship with God, often confessing sins to God, repenting, receiving God's forgiveness, having God presence is like gaining everything. The greatest guarantee is the presence of God.
