Is it possible for us to be united but diverse? Yes, and it this is one of the strengths God has blessed us. “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” (1 Corinthians 12:12). Unity is God’s design for all his people in the Kingdom of God. Through Christ we can be united despite our cultural differences. At Sunrise, we embody the Kingdom of God as we are so diverse here, we have Hong Kong people, China mainland, Filipinos, Indonesians, Africans, and other nationalities. We are a multi-cultural Church; we love to welcome all people from every nation in our Church this is our unique identity as Sunrise. But question, do we really see the unity among us? May be yes, But I believed still need to improve. Therefore, am writing this to remind all of us here in Sunrise, regardless of what zone you are attending at MRC, English group, Chinese or Indonesian group. We are all Sunrise, and we must love, welcome, and embrace everyone as brothers and sisters. Meaning that we must support each other’s need. 26 If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.(1Cor 12:26). Individualism within the church is the bait of Satan. Be careful that you will not eat his bait, or you will be hooked and sin against God! You cannot say you love God but you only care for yourself. It’s contradicted to what the major bible teaching. (Matthew 22:37-39).
God has given us special strength; Our Disciple Making Movement and Prayer movement. Make sure you are part of this.
We pray that DMM can breakthrough in Hong Kong. But of course, it must start with us. Then to our City. For our prayer movement praise God, it has doing great things in our City already. But in area of disciple making we are still way behind. So, let us be united, to lead our groups in Evangelism, searching for the Person of Peace, and disciple them at your DGroup.
Praying that before the end of 2020 a new DGroup established, New Disciple Group leaders raise up. Hallelujah!
Let us be united to see the will of God happens in our Church. I passionately believed in my heart, God wants us to grow both in Spirit and in number and glorify Him.
Be safe, and God bless you all.
