Walking out God’s purpose

It is important not to let the holy spirit slip away from your daily lives. You must strive to be filled with it. Inviting the holy spirit into your life should become a daily routine; whether it be the workplace, school and your home. Let the holy spirit lead you in all that you do so that you can live in joy and peace and bring about the work of the Lord.

It is wonderful to be intimate with the holy spirit every day. “these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God,” (1 Corinthians 2:10) Even the intellectuals cannot fathom the mystery of the Lord unless it is revealed by God.

We live in an era saturated with information. It is so easy to learn anything and attain information at your fingertips. Think about it. Is your time consumed by filling yourself with information? Most information is not conducive to our spiritual growth. We should allow the holy spirit to choose the information we should spend time on so that we have time and space for the things of the Lord.

“Then I saw all that God has done. No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. Despite all their efforts to search it out, no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it.” (1 Ecclesiastes 8:17)

Soloman realised that life is meaningless without God. A sister of mine has known God since young but she went astray because she relied on other things to reach success. She dwelled on worldly knowledge and consulted other “gods” for help. Even though she worked very hard, failure was rife with a lot of money lost and psychological issues ensued. Eventually she turned to God and removed every possession against God. She also got rid of every bit of information online that she used to study and rely on. Even though it would take days to remove everything, she has already started to experience the holy spirit; feeling supernatural peace and sleeping very well. She starts to have hope, seeks the Lord and studies the bible. Isn’t this the happiness she has always been pursuing?

“Although a wicked person who commits a hundred crimes may live a long time, I know that it will go better with those who fear God, who are reverent before him.” (Ecclesiastes 8:12 ) Fear the lord, learn the word of God and allow the holy spirit to lead you in all that you do. Welcome the holy spirit and develop a close relationship with Him! You will certainly be able to walk out God’s purpose for your life!
